I am on fire and completely pumped up......pfft Maybe that was a bit over the top.
Today I had my running session and a really successful session it was, even though it was Baltic with my nose streaming down my face. I had ice, tractors, snot and cold air burning my chest all to contend with. I got my handy app this time to give me a hand with the timings. Last time I was counting it in my head and got muddled along the way - I am daft like that!
So my run was for 24 minutes alternating between a 1 minute run and a 1 minute walk. I'll be honest the cold air was harsh. I thought maybe I could make an excuse not to go out there. But I am bloody determined to get my arse into gear. I wrapped up warm and had my trusty Koala bear hat to keep me company and my music on random....A real mixture of songs today from Skrillex - Are You Ready (dub-step) to the Postman Pat theme tune....Don't ask. But some how the music (same for Tracey I believe) was all somehow related to the exercise I was doing. I had Queen - We Are The Champions, then En Vogue - Free Ya Mind even Postman Pat was related to the challenge in question as I ran past the postman in his van!
I did 3.5 miles (including one steep hill) in 27 mins 38 sec. Not bad considering last year my time for Race For Life I did 3 miles in 39 minutes.
But on an even brighter note I weighed myself today the results are in!! I know its not much but its a start!

ReplyDeleteWell done on today and all I can say is bl**dy heck if you did 3.5 miles in 27 minutes with half of it walking you ARE on fire!! You must have been sprinting!! That's an awesome speed of under 8 minutes a mile!! I want what you have for breakfast! lol!

Hehe, I had good old porridge and raisins. Never liked porridge before but its growing on me. I was never a breakfast person before, but I have noticed the difference since having it! I was impressed with myself, either that or I walk fast lol! :-)
