Me and the hubby had strategically left the kids with good old granddad for the night, we was hoping we would get snowed in. We had visions of sleeping for a week lol. But in the end we got our boots on and went to the road near us that in this weather you just cannot get up because it so steep and never gets gritted. But
Whilst we was inspecting the road conditions I decided I will give the 20 minute exercise a go not suitably dressed for the occasion wearing my bear paw boots and my all in one jersey suit jumpsuit. I quite enjoyed it and did 5 lots of 2 mins so effectively half of the said challenge, it was just too slippery and knowing my clumsy ways and my terrible sense of balance I did not want to chance breaking something. Believe me I would, I bruise like a peach and break my bones easily I have broken nearly everything on my left side that's how clumsy I am.
So we rescued the kids secretly my dad wanted them to stay and they definitely did not want to go home, my Dad cannot say the word no to his grandchildren....Big softy. But they adore him and their nanny too.
So I got home. Cooked dinner and thought I haven't really done my challenge and had a burst of inspiration I am going to run up and down the the stairs for 20 minutes 2 minutes running and 2 minutes walking but up the stairs. Bloody good workout, hard though really hard!
Hope over to Tracey's blog see how she got on!
I like your style with your alternative exercise - I bet your thighs are going to feel like mine!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that by day 7 these aches will be over as I have to do a jog session and right now I can't even walk!!
T :)
Good luck with your exercises. It's a very tough thing to stick at.
ReplyDeleteIntrigued by the photo of you running off into the (snowy) distance. Did you lug a tripod and remote shutter release for that shot, 10–second timer it or am I missing a really, obviously far simpler way to setup and take that shot?
I am afraid Carl the only equipment used in this was my camera and my husband who kindly took the shot for me :-)
ReplyDeleteHaha! OK, I guess that IS an easier way ;) Having recently finished a 365 project where I was adamant that _I_ was going to press the shutter on all the shots I forget how much easier it could be to just get those around us to take the photos.
