Day Two Run, Stretch and Burn

Day Two

I am aching and sore all over today after my 20 minute run walk. Going upstairs is the killer! I thought I would warm up with some housework, a bit of hoovering, bleach and general tidying up....Did I mention I have kids? ;-) Well they like to destroy and trash every room in my house and me (sucker) clears it up! So housework done and I am ready to do the burn section!
Once again on paper it sounded easy, how hard can standing on one foot with your eyes shut for 30 seconds be? Well it's flipping hard. I suggest everyone try it, I bet you all you cannot do it! I lasted 4 seconds and lost my balance it took so many attempts in the end I had to do it with my eyes open and then close them every now and then. I had to do this 3 times for 30 seconds. Apart from making a fool of myself as my Husband (Damien) was timing me and having a good old giggle, I could actually feel what this exercise was suppose to do. My legs were getting tense and and tummy felt contracted too.
Right, next exercise was basically jumping. Start position was a squat and from that you jump up bringing your thighs to your chest and somehow landing in a controlled manner! You had to do this 15 times....15 times too many!!  So in the squatting position I set off leaping for what I thought was incredibly high!!! My thighs didn't quite reach my chest and I landed on my BUM! My audience found it hilarious and at this point Damien was photographing me fall. I think if the dog could laugh he probably would. He did however come over with lots of licks such a lovely, caring husband dog.
My final exercise for today is box push ups. This one was fairly easy and I could feel my arms hating me briefly but I enjoyed the sensation of my arms aching, or pumping iron should I say! So now I can no longer walk without my legs giving out, doing a classic impression of John Wayne and I am suppose to go out tonight for dinner with my friends.
Well I hope Tracey enjoyed her rest :-) and spares a thought for poor old me and my jelly legs! Tomorrow should be good though 3 mile walk! Yay!

I'm dreading my session tomorrow, think I may google oxygen and defibrillation machines just incase ;)
