Week 2 - Day 4 & 5 Run, Stretch and Burn

Firstly I would like to say I am sorry I did not blog about my run yesterday. To put it simply I was so annoyed at myself because I didn't enjoy the run. I got my timings wrong, so pushed myself more then I should have and then the times and the distance covered were bad!

2.5 Miles in 30 minutes...That's how bad. Enough said -  its still a sore subject :-(

I spent the entire time feeling like I was having a heart attack. I was really suffering with lactic acid and my ankles were feeling the hard road. Every step I took I could feel my ankles cracking. To be honest not even sure what went wrong yesterday but I am hoping it won't happen again!!
I got home and literally fell apart. That cold air really hurts and I generally felt rotten. After my breathing settled I went upstairs to discover my boys bedroom had been trashed.

Korben hasn't admitted to doing it, Indie is adamant it wasn't him. So as it stands Jack the cat is taking the blame as I found him amongst it all! It wouldn't surprise if it was him as he is always up to mischief. He knocks pints of water over on a regular basis because he will only drink from a glass instead of his bowl.

So today was a stretch session and on the plan they have thrown in some new stretches. They even took the liberty to give bizarre names...Nice touch I thought ;-)

First stretch was called the Thoracic spine, in lamens terms - you fold your arms in front of you, lift above your head and turn to your left and then and do the same on the opposite side. I liked this one once I worked out what they were trying to tell me!!

Second stretch was called Spiderman hips. I am not going to even try and explain this because the person who wrote it clearly couldn't! I'll mark the picture of me doing Spiderman Hips

The next stretch was called Hip Flexors. This one brought back the days of when I was a ballet dancer!!

Last but not least we had the backwards lunge---A forwards lunge but backwards lol!

I did the stretches with no problems and celebrated with some muscle flexing and a hand stand.

Spiderman Hip below!!

  1. I like the sound of some of those exercises; "Spiderman Hips"—haha!

Your exercise photos are very good. Looks like the hard work is really paying off :)

I love the shot of the cat in the trashed room. Literally made me laugh. I can almost hear it thinking "Yeah, I did this. You gotta problem with that?"

  2. If I had of attempted a hand stand my next set of shots would be coming from A&E!!

You are doing incredibly well, don't be so hard on yourself and stick with it girl - I'm with you all the way!
